In 1995, our founder, Lance Stacy, wrapped up his college career and bid a tearful farewell to his student life. Armed with an education and a fair amount of debt, Lance stepped confidently into the “real world”...and quickly found he was unprepared for its many challenges. After some years of living and learning, Lance finally got the hang of managing daily life and decided to open a business in his old college town. It didn't take long before he discovered that the college students he'd hired were graduating well educated but still lacking the life skills that he had been missing ten years prior. Something had to be done! After much brainstorming, and some good, old-fashioned R&D, The Rainmaker Network was born. That flash of insight has grown from a vision into a dynamic service where students get help taking on the “real world” and avoiding the pitfalls life hands them in transitioning from college to the great wide open. Here’s how we do it. First, we provide our members with a clean, organized, and professional online profile, as well as tools to create an optimized Web presence. Next, we offer planning and management resources that help with career exploration and life skills to help them anticipate and prepare for the significant challenges and adjustments they face. Finally, we connect them with quality employers and volunteer opportunities to help augment their education with real world experience. We recently took an internal poll and unanimously agreed that we all could have used a service like this when we were in college. Imagine the time and money we would have saved! If you want to know more, contact us. We are glad to help.
The Rainmaker Network will help its members successfully transition into their lives after college by providing them with resources, tools, and compelling media that enhance their career development, improve their life skills, and promote their building of a sustainable future.
